After graduating from the Ursuline business-oriented secondary school, she studied medicine at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck

After receiving his doctorate in 1998, she completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at King’s College Hospital in London. During this time, he conducted a number of research projects in the field of genetic polymorphisms in chronic liver diseases.

This was followed by specialist training at the University Clinic for Internal Medicine in Innsbruck, focusing on gastroenterology and hepatology. Finally, in November 2004, he passed the specialist examination in internal medicine.

Practicing as a specialist in endoscopy since 2002. Awarded the quality certificate of the Austrian Society for Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ÖGGH) for preventive endoscopy.

Since 2009, I have been working at the Clinical Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical University of Graz.

In addition to the clinical focus areas of oncology, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and pancreas, the scientific focus lies in the field of microbiome and stool transplantation (fecal microbiota transplantation – FMT).
