Prof. Mine Durusu Tanrıöver completed her internal medicine training in 2005 and served as the medical consultant for acute patients several years. She has led numerous initiatives within medical societies and has undertaken leadership roles in national and international postgraduate medical education and professional development projects. She is currently the Director of the Vaccine Institute at Hacettepe University in Türkiye, where she leads postgraduate programs, multidisciplinary research projects, and policy-oriented initiatives in vaccinology. Her academic work focuses on adult vaccination, vaccine-preventable diseases, influenza and other respiratory infections, vaccine confidence, and health system quality improvement. She actively contributes to regional and global scientific collaborations on lifelong immunization policies and the prevention of respiratory pathogen–related diseases, bridging clinical medicine, public health, and health systems strengthening. Prof. Tanrıöver is a strong advocate for planetary health, integrating climate change and health perspectives into medical education and health policy discussions. She is involved in projects that aim to enhance climate-resilient health systems, promote sustainable health infrastructure, and build capacity for climate and health training. Through her work, she seeks to align preventive medicine, immunization strategies, and environmental sustainability within a coherent planetary health framework.
