Miguel Romano is an Internal Medicine specialist currently training in Intensive Care. He is Chair of the Young Internists Section of the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM), where he actively promotes excellence, collaboration, and the future development of Internal Medicine across Europe. He is an Invited Assistant at the Medical School of the University of Minho, where he teaches emergency and Crisis Resource Management using simulation-based training, structured feedback, and ultrasound practical sessions, and contributes to a working group on the integration of innovation and technology into the medical curriculum. He is the Founder and CEO of SIMBOX, a company dedicated to high-fidelity medical simulation and Crisis Resource Management training, and serves as Chief Medical Officer at Synduct (Dr.Info), a health-tech initiative focused on advancing clinical decision support through artificial intelligence. His work integrates clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare innovation.
