As Chief Transformation Officer at HonorHealth, a 12-hospital system in Arizona, Jim Whitfill, MD, MBA, brings extensive expertise in healthcare leadership, strategy, and digital care. At HonorHealth, he leads a broad number of areas including marketing, Information Technology, AI and Analytics, Informatics, Process Improvement, Project management, Venture and Incubation, as well as Strategic Partnerships and Business Development.
He serves as Professor of Medicine at the ASU School of Medicine and Advanced Medical Engineering. He is a former Board Chair and former Treasurer of the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine and currently chairs the Enterprise Imaging Committee.
Dr. Whitfill received his BA from Princeton University, his MD from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA from the Wharton School. He trained in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also completed a Chief Residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in medical informatics. He has been named a fellow of the American College of Physicians as well as the College of SIIM Fellows and the American College of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.
