Dr. İpek Betül Özçivit was born in Istanbul in 1992. After completing her high school education at Robert College in 2011, she graduated from Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa English Medical Program in 2017. Between 2013 and 2016, she served as a student representative at the National Medical Education Accreditation Agency, and in 2015, she was the president of the 5th International Medical Students Research Congress organized by the Cerrahpaşa Student Scientific Research Club. In 2013, she completed a summer internship at the Hematology Department of Hopital Eduoard Hospital at Lyon University in France, and in 2014, at the BIMDC Neurology-Sleep Laboratory at Harvard University in the USA. In 2018, she began her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. In October 2018, she represented Turkey at the 3rd General Assembly of WATOG (World Association of Young Obstetric Residents), held as part of the FIGO 22nd World Congress in Brazil. She is currently continuing her education in her third year of residency at Cerrahpaşa Hospital.
