Dr. Pilar Brito-Zerón is a specialist in Internal Medicine with a doctorate from the University of Barcelona, trained in autoimmune diseases at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and currently affiliated with the Autoimmune Diseases Unit at Hospital Sanitas CIMA in Barcelona. A leading expert in Sjögren’s disease and sarcoidosis, she has authored over 230 scientific publications with more than 17,000 citations. A recipient of both the SEMI Young Internist Prize and the EULAR Abstract Award in Clinical Science, she has more recently expanded her academic focus to embrace the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Medicine, exploring how emerging AI tools can transform the diagnosis, management, and research of complex systemic autoimmune diseases.
